The legendary Rob Garrett’s “KING OF DIAMONDS” LAS VEGAS SHOW RESIDENCY keeps going strong in the “MODERN SHOWROOMS” at ALEXIS PARK HOTEL.
Neil Diamond is one of the greatest and most admired singer/songwriters in pop/rock music history.
Besides being one of the biggest selling and most successful live artists ever, he’s also written and recorded the music that defined generations — including some of the most famous songs on the planet.
In January 2018, shortly before his 77th year, Neil Diamond stepped away from live performances after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
However, Diamond’s concert legacy continues to be preserved for audiences worldwide through longtime Las Vegas performer Rob Garrett, known as America’s premier Neil Diamond tribute performer.
Ask Alexa “who is America’s number one Neil Diamond tribute artist,” and you’ll get the same answer.
Like his legendary counterpart, Rob Garrett was born in Brooklyn, NY.
In the spring of 1974, his parents relocated from New York City to the Las Vegas Valley, where, in 1976, he witnessed his first Neil Diamond concert when Diamond made his attendance-breaking Las Vegas debut at the Aladdin Theater for the Performing Arts (now “PH Live”) in July 1976.
Garrett went on to see him multiple times across the country—right up until Diamond’s final U.S. concert at the LA Forum on August 12, 2017.
In 1980, Garrett formed his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a decade-and-a-half career in Las Vegas and across the nation before deciding to move from cover band frontman to a tribute artist dedicated to one of his childhood heroes.
In 1995, Garrett was hand-picked by Paul Revere, leader of “The Raiders” to portray Neil Diamond in the world-famous “Legends in Concert” review.
What was meant to be a three-month trial turned into a three-year success.
By August 1998, Garrett was back in Vegas and continued to perform with “Legends” for another two years before deciding to go independent.
He began a steady touring schedule, building a devoted fan base along the way—earning the title “King of Diamonds.”
He continues to sell out theaters nationwide, often in venues reserved for national acts.
Garrett has also received multiple accolades, including “Male Tribute Artist of the Year.”
“Since Neil Diamond retired, I’ve felt a strong sense of responsibility to keep his legacy alive for future generations. It’s something I never get tired of doing,” he said.
On May 19, 2025 officially proclaimed the date “Rob Garrett Day,” commemorating his 50 years living in Las Vegas and 44 years as a professional Vegas performer.
Now in this year, Garrett celebrates 45 years on stage in Las Vegas, with the last three decades devoted solely to paying tribute to the now-retired Neil Diamond.
It has been said that no other tribute artist is so closely identified with the original performer as Garrett, Neil Diamond tribute Las Vegas live band who has performed his show at more Las Vegas venues than any other tribute artist.
Since the June closing of “A Beautiful Noise” (the Broadway jukebox musical based on Diamond’s life story), Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” show has become the only active Neil Diamond tribute production in America.
The Alexis Park Resort is located at 375 E. Harmon Ave., about a quarter mile from Paradise Road.
